It's My Party...!

Day 07: Kaylee's 1st Birthday Party in Kona. It was a hectic morning trying to prepare for the party which started at 11a but with all the missteps (the doors to the chapel
were locked and I couldn't operate the oven) I enjoyed every party of the event and all the people that were able to join us. Kaylee's party was Care Bear themed and I think everyone appreciated all the care bear dolls and the rainbow decorations. Thank you to all that helped decorate and rearranged the room for the party! You were truly a big help.
There was delicious food: Turkey Wraps, Chili, Hot Dogs, Teriyaki Meatballs, "Good Luck" Rice, Mochi, Salad, Chips & Mango Salsa, Cream Cheese & Spinach Croissants, POG Juice, Rainbow Cupcakes, Blueberry Cheesecake, Macaroni Salad and the Red Velvet Birthday Cake! There was enough food to feed an army & then some :) We also played some games that I created: Kaylee Bear Timeline, Care Bear Unscramble & Care Bear Name. But the game thateveryone loved the most was guessing the number of gummy bears in the jar. Everyone had their own technique of guessing and in the end, Vaina won the jar of gummy bears (which her sons loved!). Thank you everyone that were able to join us and help us celebrate our little Care Bear's first birthday. We will cherish these memories & let Kaylee know of the many people who love and care about her!

Hanging Out

Day 05: Cruising with cousins. Kaylee got to hang out with her cousins today while Mommy & Daddy went to work. She had a blast! I don't think she took her nap because she was having so much fun :) Thank you Aunty Pam for watching me

Hungry Hungry Hippo

Day 04: Eating out & enjoying a good time.Quentin and I celebrated our 2nd year Anniversary on the 26th of December but decided to celebrate it after the holidays. We went to Outback with a gift card and who wouldn't love that?! Kaylee was such a doll at the restaurant; she flirted with all the people around and she even held up a conversation with a little girl at the next table. She was also a little piggy! She ate the complimentary bread; mommy's steak, baked potato and coconut shrimp; daddy's ribs, french fries and chicken. She was even happier when we went across the way for dessert at a frozen yogurt shop. Kaylee ate so much that she feel asleep as soon as we put her in the car and it was only 7:30p! We love taking Kaylee out to eat because she gets to eat tons of food and we get to manage our weight when she eats half of our meals! :)

Music to my Ears

Day 03: Our little Munchkin is becoming our little Beethoven. She received a Fisher Price little grand piano for Christmas and she loves it! She will bang on the keys and music will fill the room. With the music playing, she'll dance up and down and show off her big smile & pearly whites! She is truly in her element :) I love how happy she is when she plays her piano. Maybe this is a sign that she'll be very musical when she is growing up? I cannot predict the future but I can control the present and this is something that she will be doing for a long time.

Back to Reality

Day 02: At the airport heading back to Kona. It was a fun trip to see and spend time with my family but what I loved most was that they were able to spend quality time with Kaylee Bear. It was a great and amazing trip and we loved every minute of it. I wasn't able to see everyone that I wanted to, but I am glad that Kaylee was able to see all the people who loves and cares about her. She had such a blast with them that I could see that she really loves them! Even Laupesa had a lot of fun with Kaylee! They were always together and copying each other--naughty or nice :)We can't wait to come back and visit you guys again! We love you very much!

Cheers to the New Year!

Day 01: It is the new year and I am looking forward to a new year of happiness, joy, excitement & adventure. I also decided to post a blog each day of my Kaylee Bear. She is growing up so fast and I want to be able to capture each moment & milestone through photographs and this blog. She is already one; a year already came and went with her. I want to be able to remember things that go on with her life each day and what is a better way then looking through the photos I take of her and the blog I write for them.
As the New Year rang and 2012 began, my Kaylee Bear feel asleep 3 hours earlier! I know she wouldn't be able to stay up to ring in the new year, but I am glad that she was able to see the magic of the fireworks that were being displayed down the street.Although it was very far away from where we were and she probably didn't know what was going on, I was glad that I was able to experience it with her.She will forget that moment but I will cherish it! By 9 o'clock, Kaylee Bear was ready for bed and she fell asleep within minutes. I hope she will be able to have another wonderful year. For 2012, I pray that she will be able to learn, grow and enjoy life more! Have fun my Kaylee Bear!
